Documentary is a poetic nocturne to a city where time bends under the weight of endless days and impenetrable nights. In winter, darkness falls as early as 3 PM; in summer, the sun barely sets. Between these extremes lies a world unseen by most—a place that breathes and pulses with life when the rest of us sleep. The film moves through shadowed corners: a maternity house welcoming new life, someone sleeping on a park bench, the last tram returning to the depot, the hum of an emergency call center. Swingers in secret clubs. An airport dispatcher guiding invisible planes. Even animals in the zoo settling into the night. These threads form a tapestry of moments—dark but vibrant, still but alive. It is an ode to the sleepless hours and an invitation to see Tallinn as you’ve never seen it before.
